HOW DO I PREPARE ROOIBOS?
Rooibos can be enjoyed hot or cold.

Hot: Add 1 teabag or 1 heaped teaspoon for every 250ml boiling water using a cup, or teapot. Allow infusion for 2-3 minutes or to taste.

If Rooibos is steeped for 5 – 10 minutes, its antioxidant activity increases significantly.

Enjoy with or without milk, honey/sugar, or slice of lemon.

Rooibos can also be prepared in a microwave oven. For a single cup, place one bag of Rooibos in a cup of cold water and microwave at maximum power for two minutes.

Rooibos can be reheated without losing any flavour or becoming bitter.

Iced: Add 1 teabag for every 250ml boiling water. Steep 10 min or more. For a stronger infusion steep overnight and/or add extra teabags. Remove teabags and chill. Serve with ice.

Add honey or fruit juice to taste. Garnish with mint and/or a slice of fresh lemon.

Rooibos is less astringent and bitter than Ceylon (black) tea and therefore needs less sugar or sweetener.
